Chiara Ferragni is many things to the fashion world: successful model, enthusiastic show attendee and avid blogger of The Blonde Salad. In 2010, she added designer to her impressive resume, opening Chiara Ferragni shoes and accessories with herself as Creative Director. Just five years later, the brand is widely available in over 200 boutiques.
Since then, Ferragni has collaborated with many world-renowned designers, such Dior, Louis Vuitton and Chanel, creating looks that are fresh, comfortable and decidedly girly. When discussing where her love of shoes stems from, the designer has said, “my relationship with shoes has changed a lot during my life; it was connected to all the experiences I had. I always start dressing from the shoes, as I am very obsessed and I’ve been collecting them over the years.”
In each Chiara Ferragni collection, quirky designs, bold metallics and graphic details meet for one-of-a-kind boots, flats, and sneakers. A major design element in much of her work, eyes and lips can be spotted on a plethora of Ferragni’s pieces, whether in a large, solitary applique or many in a scattered pattern.
On her website, Chiara Ferragni describes her designs as “tak[ing] inspiration from travels, music, pop culture and contemporary art for a collection that combines feminine elements with modern silhouettes. The brand is a successful mix of iconic elements and contemporary trends.” Consistently fun, flirty and completely chic, Chiara Ferragni’s pieces are as full of life as the designer herself.
